Recent details have emerged about the shocking demises of renowned director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Brentwood, Los Angeles property on Sunday.

The Initial Report

A source indicates quoting a person close to the family, a massage therapist arriving for an appointment first raised the alarm after not being able to enter the house. This individual then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

Upon entering the home, Romy came upon her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. Another individual who had accompanied her then dialed 911. Subsequently, first responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, including the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently detained and denied bail.

Correcting the Record

The confidential informant also disputed several previously reported details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner informed first responders that her brother Nick lived in a guesthouse on the property, she did not identify him as a suspect at that juncture.

Additionally refuted circulated notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "apprehensive" about Nick's actions in recent weeks. Rather the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

He was scheduled to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, stated his client had a medical issue and would not be present until no sooner than Wednesday.
